This review was difficult for me to write; especially because I haven't seen any negative reviews for this place, so often I wonder if I'm the only one who feels this way and am crazy or people may just be afraid to leave an honest review! I don't want this to reflect the office staff, some of the hygienists, etc., but my experience with Dr. Marshall was uncomfortable each time I had to see him. The first time I came to Aesthetic Dental, I was a freshman in high school getting Invisalign for the first time. My mom and I were getting it done at the same time and we equally felt uncomfortable around Dr. Marshall. He often made inappropriate comments to us, and to co-workers that we would overhear. I remember specifically years ago he told my mom and I we were gorgeous many times, should be in magazines, etc. Yes, flattering, but not from an older man to a teenager. It was obvious that the staff was rather annoyed or uncomfortable around him when he'd give comments like that, as well. I decided to do Invisalign for a second time this year to fix some teeth movement that had happened over the years, and unfortunately nothing has really changed. He still made me very uncomfortable with some of the comments he would make to me and the hygienists. He also came off rude one day stating that my teeth would look a lot better if they were bigger, meaning I should consider veneers. At one specific appointment, he was removing the attachments on my teeth and had either a hygienist or dental assistant helping him out. She couldn't locate one of the tools that he asked her for, and he lectured her the entire time he was working on me. He asked her if at home she organizes her panties and socks or keeps them together in a drawer, just to be more specific. You could tell she wasn't only embarrassed, but also uncomfortable. The only other negative experience here was having one of the dental assistants scan my teeth wrong for my retainer. It made the timeline of receiving them a lot longer, and I ended up having to go back in for a re-scan. But I would take something like that over my interactions with Dr. Marshall. I don't want this review to be only negative, as the office staff here are so sweet. Erica is also a GREAT hygienist, and I loved my time there every time she helped me. My teeth also look great, so I'm not saying Dr. Marshall doesn't know what he's doing, he is just uncomfortable to be around. Big thank you to the rest of the staff at Aesthetic that did make me feel comfortable!
